Israel, and especially Jerusalem, are NOW the focus of world attention

  • Nearly every day, Israel is in the news.
  • Israel, and especially Jerusalem, have become the focus of world attention.
  • Israel has been the subject of a large percentage of United Nations resolutions. These resolutions were from both the General Assembly and the Security Council.
  • In 1997, the U.N. voted five times to condemn Israel for merely building apartments in East Jerusalem.
  • Nearly all the countries of the world voted against Israel.

The peace plan in the Middle East requires Israel giving her land to the Palestinians for peace.

This plan was initiated in 1991 by then, President George H. W. Bush and continued until September 2000.

The disputed land is called the West Bank, Gaza, Golan Heights. But more importantly…. Israel has to give up… East Jerusalem to the Palestinians for their capital.

The remains of the ancient Jewish Temple are still located in East Jerusalem.

The world is so sensitive about Jerusalem that in 1980 when Israel moved its capital from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, most nations refused to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and kept their embassies in Tel Aviv!
Because of the United Nations, and the American - initiated peace plan, there is continual and tremendous pressure on Israel over the Land!
